« Baptized by a Mistake »
Thursday, September 23, 2010 Perfectionist: I dropped the ball, Master Juggler. What now?
Master Juggler: Nothing, not a thing at all!
Perfectionist: But how, how can you, Master Juggler, be so forgiving?!
Master Juggler: It’s just a ball, it wants to be dropped, it wants to hit the Ground of Being. So, you let it, you were generous. I envy you… There was a time I too could let go of things with same generous ease. But now, I just juggle ungrounded thoughts, staying up in the air of abstraction by skillful habit.
Perfectionist: I see what you mean, and I see it without eyes.
Master Juggler: That’s what they used to mean by "seeing" but in this day and age, they elevated the penny of commonsense to the dollar of enlightenment.
Perfectionist: I don’t understand…
Master Juggler: Keep juggling, Perfectionist, until you drop the ball. Until you are baptized by a mistake.
