Oh yes, I know this existential appetite. And here's a lesson of indigestion that comes with it: a Part cannot swallow (grasp) the Whole; but, if still trying to grasp it, you can always allow yourself to be swallowed [by the "depths" of all that is].

Awe is the sum of all hunger.
