« Reign of Separateness »

"In reality, there is no such thing as 'separateness'" (HP Blavatsky, The Key to Theosophy)

Blavatsky is both correct and incorrect. There is no such thing as "separateness" in objective reality. But in subjective reality, in the reality of the mind, there is nothing but separateness. Mind separates, filters, sorts the oneness of "what is" into separate categories of "this" and "that."

Question: if an illusion (of separateness) exists, is it still an illusion?

Answer: objectively, yes; subjectively, no; meaning: objectively, an illusion is an illusion; subjectively, an illusion is not an illusion but reality.
