« Essence Meets Form »
Wednesday, July 13, 2011 The crookedness of the serpent is straight enough for the snake-hole. The crookedness of the river is straight enough for the sea. (Basavanna)
Interpretive Note:
The snake of mind* uncoils in the embrace of its own consciousness**. Essence is always home to all of its Forms.
*Mind: when I say "mind" I mean "form" (mind is form)
** Consciousness: when I say "consciousness" I mean "essence" (consciousness is essence)
ps:
an old sutra restated: consciousness is mind, mind is consciousness (essence is form, form is essence)
