« A Case of Quotation Marks »
Sunday, September 11, 2011 Question: If there is no "I," then where are your words (that are said in response to this question) coming from?
Answer (by Rev. Nonin Chowaney, Nerbraska Zen Center Head Priest): These words come from the mouth of a provisional being called "Nonin."
"I" wasn't present at this exchange but even if "I" had been I wouldn't have been. What are we, indeed, but a case of quotation marks?
